Although in business (as in life) you don’t know where the road will lead or what lies ahead, the right team acting together with common purpose can overcome almost any obstacle. With the importance of choosing the right partner in mind, we are excited to welcome Jennifer deSpain and the rest of the Canyon Oak Financial team to the growing Farpointe family of advisors.
Jen possesses a formidable combination of intellect, practical experience and genuine passion for helping her clients. She graduated from UC-Santa Barbara and started her career helping small businesses as a certified public accountant. Before starting Canyon Oak, she earned her CFP® and served as CFO for a successful software company, gaining valuable experience dealing first-hand with the issues her tax and wealth management clients face.
Jen was looking for a partner who could provide Canyon Oak the service and resources she needs to support her clients and grow her practice. She was attracted to the collaborative culture at Farpointe along with our disciplined approach to practice management and growth.
Jen and her husband Mike live in Woodland Hills, California, where they raised their three sons. Jen and Mike were high school sweethearts and they obviously chose the right companions for their life journey because they just celebrated their 31st anniversary! These days, they spend most of their free time camping, hiking, biking and skiing – basically anything that gets them outdoors.
We are grateful to Jen for choosing Farpointe for Canyon Oak's next chapter…together we will achieve great things regardless of what the road ahead may bring.
