They say all good things come in threes. As proof we are pleased to welcome Johnson Financial, LLC – our third practice in Louisiana – to the rapidly growing Farpointe family.
Johnson Financial is a family business run by brothers Lane and Steven Johnson. Their father started the business as a solo accounting and tax practice 47 years ago in the garage of their home outside New Orleans. He added Wealth Management to the practice in 1988 as one of the first CPAs to enter the financial services business and grew the business for 30 years before turning it over to Lane and Steven when he retired in 2018.
Before joining Johnson Financial in 2003, Steven worked for Massachusetts Financial Services in Boston. His passion for helping clients is matched by his passion for travel and music. While he still enjoys those hobbies, Steven spends most of his free time these days with his wife and three young sons.
Lane also enjoys travel, though his “tours” were the all-expense-paid kind provided courtesy of the U.S. Air Force. During 10 years on active duty with the Air Force, Lane was overseas in Middle Eastern combat zones for three years. After leaving the Air Force, he joined Johnson Financial in 2009 and continued to serve our great country in the Louisiana National Guard. Lane retired from the Air Force with over 20 years of military service in June 2020. Lane’s interests include playing the guitar and saxophone and he enjoys boating and fishing but, like his brother, he stays busy these days with his wife chasing after their three children.
As a family business, Steven and Lane joined Farpointe because they understand the importance of integrity and trust. It is a testament to their firm's culture that their office manager, Jill Strassel, has been with the firm for 40 years! That just doesn’t happen unless you are doing something right. They see Farpointe as an advocate that shares their passion for serving clients, and as a true partner who can help them build a platform to support even greater growth in the future.
